Our safeguarding commitment

In the A Rocha Worldwide Family, we are committed to safeguarding all individuals with whom we come into contact through our work by upholding a zero-tolerance approach towards all forms of harm, abuse and exploitation. We prioritize prevention, clear and accessible reporting mechanisms, and effective responses to safeguarding complaints, concerns and incidents. We are also committed to creating an environment where people feel safe, respected and valued, and have their rights protected.

Our safeguarding standards

All members of the A Rocha Worldwide Family commit to maintaining effective safeguarding policies and procedures, adopting a victim/survivor-centred approach, providing training, following safer recruitment practices, appointing a Safeguarding Lead, and reporting serious incidents. They also engage in peer learning, monitoring, and reviews to ensure support for those affected and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Confidentiality

All calls and voice messages are handled confidentially. Your identity will not be disclosed without your consent, and you have the option to remain anonymous. All reported safeguarding concerns and incidents — whether recent or historic — will be treated with equal seriousness and thoroughly investigated, and appropriate action will be taken in line with our policies and procedures.
