Development Coordinator

Contract: 30 hours per week, initially as maternity cover (10-12 months) with potential to extend subject to budget. Schedule dependent on time zone and agreement. 

Location: Remote. International travel 1-2 times per year 

Salary: Pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market

 Do you want to use your gifts and experience to further nature conservation efforts around the world? We are looking for a gifted fundraiser to join our dynamic, culturally and geographically diverse team at an exciting moment in our history.  

 For over 40 years and now on six continents, A Rocha has been protecting and caring for vulnerable habitats, species and communities in God’s name. As part of the development team in A Rocha International and reporting directly to the Director of Development, you will be equipping, representing and innovating this vital work around the world.  

 You will receive training, support and opportunities to gain experience across a wide range of fundraising disciplines. And you will need to be open to new challenges, able to be flexible and someone with strong drive and initiative.  

 Key responsibilities 

  • Donor management 
  • Creating new funding avenues 
  • Monitoring and reporting on relevant analytics 
  • Supporting campaigns 
  • Maintaining and updating fundraising web pages 
  • Grant research, writing and reporting 
  • Working with policies 
  • Managing internal systems 
  • Event support 

 Essential qualifications & experience 

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally in a relevant field such as communications/marketing/journalism 
  • Excellent written and spoken English (an additional language is a bonus) 
  • Proven track record for creating excellent copy across multiple channels 
  • Experience of working within brand guidelines 
  • Competence with CRM and other internal systems

Desirable qualifications & experience 

  • +2 years employed in a communications or fundraising role 
  • Experience working and/or living cross culturally 
  • Experience working for a non-profit, even better if in the nature conservation space 
  • Experience with content creation for events 
  • Experience with fundraising in the corporate, foundation and church spaces
